Isn't it odd, funny, and bothersome that Ashcroft would HANDWRITE a 5 page resignation letter. Doesn't he have access to a computer or maybe he doesn't know how to type.
I heard on the news that he hand wrote it because he didn't want it to be leaked - come on. Why can't he type it himself, does he not own a secure computer and printer.
I would expect an assistant manager in one of the departments at Walmart to handwrite a letter of resignation - but Jesus he's the AG of the US.
Really, this only confirms my view of most conservatives as somewhat technophobic in that they think of what is "real" business in a traditionalist viewpoint. Real business equals oil, transportation, brick and mortar retail (WalMart), insurance, banking, etc.
For them technology is not to be trusted. Oh they know they need to make use of the latest technology but they really would rather someone else did it.
Does anyone think of Tom Ridge as a technocratic geek? As head of homeland security you would think that he would be exceptionally knowledgeable in that area and not just a political hack.
