I will say from the outset that this is not a candidate diary, per-se. I am not advocating for, or attempting to slam, any particular candidate with this information. Candidate diaries, particularly those attack diaries, and the dump-and-run diarists (we know the ones: no tip jar, no previous diaries, limited comments), while in some cases informative, after awhile can make the background noise of politics almost unbearable.
Recent events have led me in a new path to what issue is most important to get my vote. I still will not be a single issue voter and will whole-heartedly support any Democratic nominee, but the matter of a woman's right to choose has become the most important issue, for me.
I will also be clear that any Democratic candidate is light years ahead of the Republicans on this issue. Except for a special case, and I will discuss that when we get there. It is also the reason that Republicans do not show up in this report card. This is a site dedicated to electing Democrats, and I have no interest in what certain Republicans will say to get elected, their anti-choice base is too loud to allow them flexibility.
