United We Stand, Divided We Fall

Who has divided us? Entrenched thoughts inside us and dispersed fabricated reports to blind us? Who are these monsters? Captivated by the hunger of wickedness, strategizing since the beginning of time. A plan to corrupt humanity through their secret covenants, how insidious their minds. Who are the fathers of this evil? Who finds joy in the division and conquer of people? Who so practices with such decadence and hypocrisy? Are ye entertained of committing such heinous acts? Do you not think that He knows of all, which ye do? Have you become so arrogant and forgetful because of your earthly possessions that you feel as if you are not to return to your creator? Are you not the same person’s whom will deny of such actions when facing the truth on the day of recompense? Have you fell in disbelief? Into the magic of Iblis, who is aware of the truth himself, but finds excitement in turning you astray from it? Who is to blame, the ones who divide or the ones who fall into the trap and allow the division?

What has divided us, in such a way that we have been killing each other for centuries and forgot what the reason of existence even means? Does the word humanity, not have the word unity in it? If you believe it is religion, which segregates you from loving another person, then you are a part of the wrong religion. Religion teaches acceptance. “La Kum Dina Kum Waliya Deen” – To Each Their Own. It isn’t faith or the belief in a “God”, which divides us. Then what could it be? Is it money? Who owns the most property? Is it control? Is it the false media? Which tends to constantly divert our attention from the real by promoting the same things until we are slowly brainwashed into believing their version of the truth? Is it power? Can the role of playing “God” be so seductive to one’s mind that, the adrenaline rush from it allows them to feel as if they can do anything and not be accounted for their actions? Are you so caught up in your heedless ways?

It feels like humanity has been infected with some sort of epidemic, which has traveled and invaded weak souls. Struck the feeble minds and succeeded to reach hold. What have we done? Allowing ourselves to divide and separate into crowds? Only if we were open minded enough to see that unity; is the only way out. Who made you believe that it is a person’s socio-economic status, which should influence your decision on whether or not to associate with them? Who taught you to judge a book by its cover? Who taught you to assume a crook by his color? Who instilled in your hardheaded, slender minds to believe the gossip from there blistered tongues? Aren’t you aware of the fact that evil loves to entrap those who trap themselves mentally? Surely, the trapped are those who follow and swallow the captions of hypocrite captains, no sense in these. Where does it get you at the end of the day to hate or dislike another person because of what they look like? Or how much money they have or don’t have? What there religion is? Who they are related to?

Ask yourself! Are you only unified when in need? Are you otherwise disguised, and inside is greed? Are your intentions pure when congregated? The Quran states, “Their enmity among themselves is very great. You would think they were united, but their hearts are divided, that is because they are a people who understand not.” You can hide from the world, but not thyself. It frightens me because, if we can dissect ourselves from our own blood in today’s time over petty things, I worry about the pedagogy, which will guide the minds of our future generations. We need to open our eyes and come together as a unit, otherwise we will slowly evaporate as time continues, and nothing will change for the better. We need to learn to better ourselves, by helping better others. People tend to find humor in the filthiest things now days, and slowly what was once looked down at, is now becoming entertainment. How can we ever find a solution to a problem we keep ourselves from seeing? Look at the protests across the nation for #OccupyWallStreet. With the power of unity’s voice, I truly believe they will reach their goal and by the grace of God, may its outcome be for the best.

The Importance of Gratitude

Were you grateful for being able to sleep last night? Are you grateful for waking up today? Do you have both arms, both hands and both legs? Do you have vision, whether it is 20/20 or not? Do you have someone who loves you; parents, siblings or friends? Do you have a roof over your head? Do you eat until you’re full? Have you sat down for a minute and actually thought about what you had, instead of what you didn't? Do you realize, even if you have one of the things I just listed above, you are blessed? Are you forgetful of what has been given to you? Have you become so use to these things that you need to have them taken away in order to realize? Did you say thank you to the last person who helped you? Do you love the person who loves you back, just as much? Are you so confident that you will live long enough to see tomorrow? I write this to you, so you can think about these things every day. Life is short, but it seems that our memory of what we have in it is even shorter.

Don't you know that happiness is a state of mind, which solely begins with 'your' attitude? Either you are negative, or you are positive. Your whole life is capable of changing with just how you perceive your surroundings. No one in this life will have everything they "want", but if they learn to see, they will see they have what they need already. People want a million dollars, so they pray for it. Did you ever think you might already have the million dollars? What if that million dollars was in the form of something else, like a mother? Someone who loves you? Paper isn't the only asset. This is what I mean, we have things of value which are worth more than anything in this world, but we don't ever notice it until it's gone. I had a friend who lost their mother, and they told me "I would always be so angry and do things just to make her mad, and the next thing you know, she was gone". Would you really want regret like that in your life Be grateful while you have it, and be grateful for having the chance of having it.

The beauty of saying 'thank you' is that it takes little time, but the effect lasts a life time. Just as we should be grateful for what we have, we should be grateful for what we don't. If you believe in God, than you believe what we don't have is only for our own betterment. No one knows us better than the one who made us. You must learn to believe in your creator, without doubting his reasoning. Sometimes what we don't have is a way of having something in itself. Like they say, 'a prayer unanswered, is still a prayer answered.' When you pray, you should say thanks for the things you have first. Thank God, thank your family, your friends, your neighbors and anybody who's been there for you and with you through thick and thin. Most people may not realize it, but gratitude is a form of charity itself. Not only should you appreciate the people who come in your life, but also the ones who leave your life. Every single thing has a purpose or lesson behind it in life. Life remains teaching us, so we shall remain learning from it.

With that being said, you should never not be thankful, because you can never be too
grateful. Learn to be tolerant, be accepting, be positive, and be appreciative. Remember that, the first step to being great is to be grateful. We work hard every day to reach our goals, dreams or even the next promotion at work. Although, once we get there, we sometimes let our ego step in and change how we think. We cannot allow ourselves to get ahead of ourselves that is exactly how we lose. You see how everything correlates with being grateful. If we cannot display gratitude or be thankful for our blessings, than slowly we will stop having the things we should be saying thank you for.

What does the world think of me?

I blame me, only I can hate me, I love me, n only I can call myself ugly
I don't need the people to tell me how to feel or when to feel it
I’ll cry, and I’ll laugh, whenever those emotions are needed
I wear what I want; I make friends when I choose to
I'm there when I need to be, I don't care what you tell me to choose dude
We’re on two different levels, I'm high your low
I'm high because I chose to succeed, and you still too real to grow
What does the world think of me?
I don't know, leave my mind alone
I wanna spend time at home, far away, so every rhyme
N next line I combine, comes out without a crying tone

I don't care, I swear
I use to, then I learned to dare
Learned to risk, I learned to be aware
I learned to put my index down
Cuz peace was never there

THE "P.R.I.C.E." WE PAY
"Prejudice, Racism, Injustice, Corruption, Execration"

Their trained to kill, demonstrate and enslave by will. Not all are bad, but how long will there authority remain their shield? It's not just police brutality; it's a form of crafty mentality. The reality is, that racism was born to initiate fatalities. Grave the one's who see, but okay the blind cavalries. This is fallacy. The maintenance of repeated hatred, the patience to have patience with mistreated cases. How are we okay with defeating races? Demeaning places with heathens, this is that evil matrix. This is cruelty, they can't fool me! They act like they run it, but never move there own two feet. I’m talking degradation, the degeneration of this generation through generating innovations, which caused the execration.

See, I love my country, but sometimes I hate the way they do things. Yea, they gave us freedom, but freedom isn’t always what you think. Just a couple hundred years ago, they labeled you, separated you, and hated you, if you were colored or polished. There mucus full of arrogance, not ever was there intention behind the word, 'never ignorant getting goals accomplished.' It's a game, a system, and the schemes of mainstream religion. God is real, what they made you believe was a make belief decision. It is their plan to segregate us, and defy the oneness of who made us. Decline the chances of unity, and apply the hiatus. How do they promote the actions of what they provoked, and then lie to the people by using Islam as a scapegoat? Islamaphobia? They had to construct a word to hate a religion of peace? They used a terrorist group designed by the system, and generalized there behavior across the Middle East.

This is blasphemy! From the endorsement of catastrophe, to manipulating the minds of innocent citizens, and depriving them to a state of insanity. Why have we been shot down by those who protect and serve? Why have we been imprisoned with no evidence, besides the predicaments of inconsiderate germs? We the people who have been killed without full proof, the people who have had our houses raided with no warrant. We have had our families die in war for land we never owned. We have allowed the sodomy of women in back alleys, the rape of our future mothers, the battering of our daughters. Why have we been victimized? If only you could explain this injustice. If only you could see through the victims eyes, and understand the tears from this corruption.

Racism never died, the truth did. They just learned to be slick with it, and I'm here to prove this. Things have just become more organized, enough to divert your attention. While we sit back and watch TV, they’re out there coordinating another convention. They hate when I talk like this, and display the proof. They hate it that some of us got the knowledge, to see past there fabricated views. Who's to judge, based on the color of your skin? We can't even get a proper job, so were stuck struggling, hustling more sin. See, societies run by pyramid schemes and so it seems, if you sell your soul, than my brother, you’re in! I can't comprehend to why we still face the tragedies of racial prejudice. I cannot fathom what makes a person hate another because of their appearance. I can't understand why we have stooped so low, to where we let their control brainwash us into bringing each other down. This is programmed injustice. The rise of an old plan, advanced and reconstructed.

We must stand together, and raise awareness, instead of letting them put fear in us and keep us silent. We must not let them keep getting away with these injustices. We have seen how much corruption exists. From teens like George Junius Stinney, Jr getting executed, to the Middle East being invaded, to the Gaza strip being raided. From police brutality by the racist, to the jury placing false evidence on innocent victims, and letting the murders get away with. To false claims and biases against religion, trying to spread hate through propaganda, and claim innocence, after they played out there mission. What are we dealing with here? Hypocrite legislators who can't practice what they preach? What is justice? Is it just us? Because from what I see, there action's aren't as good as what they speak!

The guap, The user,
The revealer of true nature
The greed of a loser

See, money is great, but money is awful
Money is used for good, but also the unlawful
I thought my heart was enough,
but I guess money is more than what's thoughtful

'Remain you, and they will hate you. Do what they do, and they will praise you.'

Oh, deprived society, whom choses to be not yourself, rather, the person beside you. Oh, selfless and hopeless society, who choses to be someone there not to gain the acceptance of others. Oh, people of this world, have you truly awakened from your sleep, and decimated the wicked ways of the weak. The signs are content, consistent and reiterated, but unfortunately, so is your blindness. Why do you chose to fulfill the desires of those, who do not understand there own desires. Haven't you learned yet, the world is a replica of your actions. Life will mimic your intentions in the people around you, for you to stay well aware of yourself. Do you not understand yourself? How come you try and learn the procedure of what's in front of you, rather than what's inside? Surely, God sees through your fabrication. You were placed in this world, not to be an example of others, but to set an example for the others.

Have you ever asked yourself, what you thought was 'real'? What you thought was 'cool'? What you felt was 'right'? Have you ever looked in the mirror and saw a different person looking back? Is the definition of cool, getting drunk, having sex, smoking weed, partying every weekend because your company says so? When is the last time you did something because you wanted to, and not because it would help you fit in? Why have we become so indulged into the fact that we have to look, act, and talk like everybody else in order for them to like us back? If they don't like you how you really are, then is it a self-esteem issue? Why be fake and still associate yourself with people that don't matter to? That does not only make you blind, but a hypocrite. This leads to the reason why our society has so many two-faces, or hidden identities. Most of us are afraid to show who we really are and we get lost in two different life styles; one out side and one behind doors that no one ever knew. No wonder it has become hard to trust anyone out there. I'd rather have a foe who says that they hate me, than call someone a friend whose purpose is to put me down secretly.

Have you realized that being apart of the majority doesn't make you strong anymore? We are living in an organized system which has deliberately drained the minds of individuals and made them believe everything they see. How can people claim to be original when almost everything about them is fictional. Why are most of the leaders we admire from the distant past? Is it because we don't have many today? If we do, most of them turn out to be ill natured. They have conquered and divided. They have manipulated us into believing that we are crazy if we don't follow there rules but normal if we submit. We have become victims of modern slavery. Ignorance is the new crack and a lot of people are on it. Only if people knew the true power of the muscle behind their own voice. Instead of jumping on every band wagon of the latest hollywood icon, we need to learn to think for ourselves. The society has degraded itself by making it's own people less aware and fearful of becoming aware. There are so many different conspiracies and truths, people just stopped caring about trying to find out what's real anymore. We are still trying to find out the truth behind 9/11, which happened over a decade ago. Clarity is needed in order to eliminate the mass hatred which it has created against a whole race & religion. Sadly, most people will believe whatever the boss aka TV says, which is still the reason, that today a lot of my people are discriminated against today.

I find it depressing when I see many people who have been deprived of living how they want because society won't accept it. To gain acceptance they slowly forget who they are, making it a forced habit to be someone they're not. We are being lured into a lifestyle which we have no control over. Is conformity even an option anymore? Even though it is still your choice to be unique, most people can't handle the pressure of having to fight against the crowd. If you don't conform, it takes time to get your point across and most would argue that they don't have time or want to live an "easy" life. Explain to me how things are easier, when you stop caring? It's obscene how people are a part of the same crowd they claim they hate. It's like living everyday as a contradiction. You hate how things are now but you're the reason they are that way. If you are afraid of being yourself then what's the point of being? Live your life how you want to, not because it's how they want you to. Make your own decisions and choices. Don't fall under the pressure of having to change yourself for anyone. It's not your problem if they can't accept you for being true to yourself.

I will ask you one last thing before I end this article: "What is your definition of a real person?"

I believe that a real person is someone who can take themselves out of any situation, adjust to any situation and can refrain from being negative in the worst situation. A real person is someone who doesn't conform, instead he continues to be his self in the crowd. A real person is one who wins the challenge against himself, a challenge against peer pressure, one who does not fall for temptation. A real person is one who says he did, after he does. A real person doesn't pay attention to the ignorance, instead he gives attention to those willing to listen and understand. A real person never loses, he keeps trying. A real person understands that attitude and reaction can make all the difference. A real person understands patience does not mean waiting around, it means to take initiative first. A real person is one who believes in himself regardless of anyone who puts him down. A real person is one who knows better, by being the bigger person. A real person takes care of themselves, as well as others when he is capable of it. A real person substitutes anger with prayer. A real person will not judge you for your appearance. A real person understands the difference between intention and motive. A real person is someone who shines daily because of his faith. A real person is anybody who isn't afraid to be themselves at any given time.

Through One, we were created. To one, we shall return. For indeed, the truth lies in one congregation, which unfortunately, we have adjourned. I believe in no division. I believe in no sect. For we are all unified during submission and after all, he is only one! Correct?

I witness the fall of civilization as well as the birth of destruction. The rise of an evil through coercive seductions. The force feeding of crowds and the mass manipulation. The theories of the proud, leading us into disaster's stimulation. Oh what have we here, a population trafficking through avid configuration. Atheism laughs at the believer speech, so sad the situation, of the weak. Conforming for rapid matriculation, they seek, In order to fit in to society's crafted simulation, defeat. I see the great deception, the new age, following the craze, obstructing through loose plague. Look at how we question God, but swallow the news page. Discredit our own blood, just to model the new ways.

See, many of us have fallen astray. Ambiguous, we have been made, through false conjectures and the premeditated syllables of the trained. For indeed, it is the skilled, who bestow thrills and commit sins to kill. Oh, the stories they tell and try to glorify the emporiums of hell. Temptations of glass, see through trash. Oh, what have we gained from disbelieving the one who maintains? The one who made us in fact, it's a fact, we have mocked the greatest and trapped ourselves in a maze so amazing, the past. Even though we forget it, it still follows until the day and at last into the grave we have passed. How can we forget the Creator? When surely, He's the only savior, we have!

I look at the sun, I stare at the moon, I smile at the stars, and fall in love everyday I consume. I look at the ocean, and I wonder it's mystery. I float to outer space, trying to escape this earth's misery. I live in a world full of blasphemy. The wicked hold such a status full of ego, jealousy, yet wonder why they remain in a state of agony. I look at the people from a distance, painted smiles and dried tears. People pretending to hold relations of bounty, but how? When they've forgotten who gave them these fine years! I'm afraid for the imbeciles and the twisted. The ones who batter the innocence off a child's back and justify the decision. Is this what we call a court of law? Or is this a sort of flaw? To convict the poor, just to fill the space behind bars, and let the rich flee, as long as they hand over a portion of there quota? God! this is tyranny!

Take a look at our religion. From the beginning, we have been blessed with the truth. Until the fine philosophy was risen and struck the minds of a few. Which now corrupts the generations vision, the generators of legislators sedating the minds of civilians. Ignorance now separating us, through theories of spineless chameleons. Multiple villainous arrangements, surely, this is the time of transgressors. Hypocrisy attained, and remains in the minds of the inventors. So I ask now, who are we to stand up so high, demanding the respect? Acting like we don't bleed, and some how believe it's us who hold the power to judge and keep humanity in check. How can we proceed and allow segregation when the truth was handed to you? Do you still you neglect the revelations? 'Kun Faya Kun', It was commanded to you!

Islam is not the glitch. What the media displays is a form of fictional propaganda and you blindly conform to their pitch. Muslims are not the enemies. Disbelievers are the enemies. The ones who gang up and point fingers through postulated schemes. That does not mean that non-Muslims are the opponents. It simply states that those who discredit us due to the actions of deviants and then generalize with the aim to falsify our existence. They must seek atonement!

I am a Muslim, and it is necessary to believe our 'Ummah' is one. I am no different than you. Surely the difference between us is none. We cannot blame the ones who don't listen, the mindless who have been raised to believe and trained through superstition. Taught by the elder generation whose generation before never learned or cared. Instead they just followed there present exhibition. Indeed, the media has defined us, designed us and testified against us to make the public despise us.

With this being said, we must stand up, otherwise we will continuously get stood upon. We must not fear the system, especially when our true purpose is to do good upon. Islam teaches purity, piety and righteousness. The straight path, 'Sirat Al Mustaqeem', the desire of enlightenment. Others look inside our religion and see that some of us hate each other! "I'm Sunni, he's Shia"? NO! Look at what we made each other! There is only one type of Muslim and one God above. Please don't judge me because of my religion, true Islam is peace, unity… and love

Surah 6, Verse 159: "Surely they who divided their religion into parts and became sects, you have no concern with them; their affair is only with Allah, then He will inform them of what they did."

Love is enigma, Love is divine, Love is the cure, but the infection to those blind. Love is pure, love is undefined, Love is beyond just a feeling, surely love is undermined. Love is many heart beats, but its rhythm the same, For love is the light through dark streets, it has no image or name. Love is bright, love is light, Love is just, love is life.

Love helps the weak, love contains the spirit, Love embellishes the person, for love is coherent. Love is the problem, yet it is also the solution. A long time ago, I heard love is the filter to its own pollution. They say, love is confusing, love is illusive, Love is a lame, where as lust is amusing. They say, love is a traitor, love is addiction. How can love heal the heart, but still cause the affliction? They say, love is a dream, so I stay in wonder, Shall I stay asleep? Or awake from its thunder?

Love is pain, love is bliss, Love is the acceptance, for all that exists. Love is to see imperfection and treat it perfect, For love sees no error, and if so, that defeats the purpose. Love is the eyewitness, and I witness that love is a high, Which is the highest which I've been prescribed to try, For anything else overdosed can cause death, Where as love helps the inside cry, die.

The misled have decided, love is cruel, love is one sided. The hurt have claimed it, love is for fools, love is all painted. The pimps have it twisted, love for the dough, a way to create mischief, The thieves play it wicked, treat the victim with a dose of ambition, Call it hope and draw the conviction, See, leading on is the strategy, in which they create a guilt trip, A way to catch feelings, but never threw their own, the plan was so terrific. Now the one who fell, caught up in the physics, Thought love was everything, till' they were made to believe it's all sadistic. You see how it plays out; Love is real for those that never got played out. Although, whom it has hurt don't realize what they were caught in would never have worked, So it was actually a mechanism of God, too deep a thought for you to grasp its worth.

Love is the internal relief from the inferno within, When it begins to burn and it's deep, from the burden of kin. Love vaccinates the heart and emancipates the mind. Love is true luxury, for love always shines. See, people often mistake love with external attraction. Caught up in its valence, but the hormonal affection is not the full fraction. We lose hope in the word because we fail to understand that love is more action. Broken hearts galore, those who fall for false caption. See love is both: To some, a form of life, and others a sort of strategy. Some commit when the feeling is right, while others use it to perform fallacy.

In today's world love is misinterpreted, misused for foul purposes, Some give up their life trying to prove it, while others denounce its services. Love is rare in the world we reside in, Surely it's the multiplication of love's existence that we must prescribe them. For love is the spirit that holds the strength, The inevitable power, the bold defense, For love is resolution, the surge through restitution, Love is eternal, a form of universal evolution.

I heard, love was sound for the deaf, sight for the blind, A beat for the heartless, a type of sublime, I feel that love is agape, love is surprise, The glow in your pupil, that's love in your eyes. I know love is a trip, but, love is also a guide, For love is the grip from above we must confide.

They say, love is dead, I say love is alive, They experience a bit of bitter escape, and say that love is a lie. They say, love is so absurd, a pain with no worth, Love is for the mentally disturbed, insane for you to claim its curse. No! Love is real, what you had, may have never been meant to be, You might have gave it your all, but that doesn't mean you give up its legacy. Sometimes we fall for those, forgetting only God knows, So if it doesn't happen, that only means we deserve better than what we lost, hope.

What is love? The light of the moon, the ray from the sun, The mystery of the abyss, the creation among, Where is love? Deep in our souls, in the chambers of our heart, Inside the hemispheres of our brain, Within every shed of light to the strangers in the dark, Love exists beyond time and measurement, For love is uncanny, the extraordinary element, Without love, we are astoundingly weak, and the world is bleak, For love is the foundation and the peak, Love is necessary for internal and external peace.

This is a message for all the people that try and get ahead by trying to fit in, by feeling like they need to impress the next person, dress a certain way, act in a certain manner, or do whatever it takes, just to get some attention. Do me a favor, when your alone, just ask yourself why? why do you need to 'change' who you are, in order for someone else to appreciate you?

could that be the problem in your crew, or group, or work place, or anywhere you act this way, is that why you never feel fully satisfied, because its more work on top to be someone your really not? how many days out of the week are you really you? Live 'your' life does not mean, live to stay on somebody elses nuts, real talk, no one is better than no one, in the sense which, we all have potential to be who we want to be, no one else has special abilities that will take them any further, that you would need there approval to get you to that next step. I can say this because Im proof, I don't and didn't need nobody to get where I am at, in the beginning, when I was growing, I didn't try to impress no one, still don't, I feel like that's what separates me, I stay myself, i don't worry about what the next person might think about me, for being me. I feel like you all can do the exact same, everyone is made for some sort of purpose, and the only way to truly fulfill it is by being you, not a replica. At the end of the day, don't take crap from nobody if there judging you for you, if there judging you period, there not suppose to be in your surroundings, you don't need that attention, so next time you make friends or hang with people, make sure there people that accept you for you, otherwise your going to end up in a circle that will just become another headache and a lesson. Lessons are not always fun, they might teach us, but why learn something if we already know the outcome?

Why do we suffer the consequences of an outcome that wasn't caused by us? Ignorance thrives. Why are we generalized into and placed under the same category as the individual who has committed acts of idiocy? Why are people so quick to believe what they don't know anything about? Why are we so easily absorbed into the belief that whatever the media depicts is accurate? Why do stereotypes exist? Do you ever think for yourself? Do you ever realize that misjudgment could be the cause of over half the tragedy in this world? Do you ever sit and think about the effect it could have on a person when you demean them because of their physical characteristics? What makes you think you can treat someone how ever you want because of what you saw on TV, the newspaper, or what your parents raised you to believe? What makes you think that just because of small amount of people filled with ignorance are creating chaos and atrocity, the rest of the people who "look like" them are the same? Is it because CNN told you? Did FOX or CBS tell you that an act of terrorism occurred today, and it was three Muslims, so now all Muslims are bad. Do you find it ok to hate all Muslims now because of those three? Can't you see with your eyes instead of listening to the poisonous lies they feed you? Are you that lazy that you'd rather just go with whatever is being said, instead of thinking about it rationally?

Stereotypes are defined to be generalizations, or assumptions that people make about the characteristics of all members of a group, based on an image. Does that even sound right to you? I sit here and wonder each day, why we have to face the outcome of another's action that we had nothing to do with in the first place. I wonder why the media has made it so easy to just point fingers at a whole race, because of what a group of uncivilized, immoral, pessimistic, individuals have done. How is it moral or just, to discriminate and make the world believe false belief? Earlier this year, I was jogging around the block as a part of my daily exercise routine, wearing a vest which says "Gold's Gym,” and has about 20 pockets, full of 1lb weights inside each pocket. I was stopped in the neighborhood by a white man who stated he just got back from Iraq, and because I looked suspicious with a vest he had the right to search me. Are you serious? He said it was protocol, and that if they witness any body of my descent they are allowed to stop and search. Is this the reality we are living in? What is freedom, when stereotypes have people believing every brown person is a possible threat?

I am not saying every one is evil for being a victim of stereotyping because it is so common some of us don't realize it. All I am asking is to consider before you judge. Some folks may do it as jokes not believing it, but there are those who believe it. I am speaking of those who cause and wreak havoc with their words. At the end of the day, who's worse, the one who did the initial act of ignorance or the ones spreading the stereotypes? Think about who you are pointing fingers at, there are good people of each race, skin color, whatever it may be. The main point of this message is to make you see that not every bad person is a prime example of his race and not every good person is a prime example of his race. There is a mixed ratio, and we have no right to say how or who a person really is before getting to know them. Like they say, “it’s not about what you’ve heard it's about what you know!”

What is a Role Model? (Free Write)

If you think a role model today is somebody on TV, somebody filthy rich, somebody who's a pimp, someone who has killed a 100 people, somebody who's popular because of the way they dress, you have been infected through manipulative artifacts. If you praise somebody for their negative actions, like now days in the media, people that are glamorized for their indecent exposure, you have been blinded.

What is a role model? someone who isn't afraid to be themselves, regardless of what the outcome may be. That's what the truth is, it hurts to see, hear, look at, but it's the damn truth! A role model is someone you look up to, not only because of their accomplishments, but how they got there. A role model is someone who went through changes, knowing what real struggle is/was, who had to strive for success, not make a porno and blow up. A role model is someone who is a good mentor, a person with morals, character, humor, personality, one who teaches right, and practices it on top of that.

A role model is someone who is trying to better his self and his surroundings. A role model is not someone who is "cool" because he was on screen with a bunch of drinks and models, having sex and slanging dough. People made a mockery of even selling drugs, some people actually have to do that to get by, no joke, it's not a good thing, but it's not something you make a joke out of either.

A role model is someone who is out there hustling every day, and got his head on straight, not so he can rise and cause chaos, but so he can rise and be grateful and help others follow there footsteps. A role model is a single mom after her dude leaves her and has the strength to raise her children and work 2 jobs just to put food on the table. A role model is a single father who puts his children before himself.

A role model is someone who won't make you feel less than them or their success, instead will help you reach the same level. A role model is someone who believed in himself, when no one else did. A role model put's God first, because he knows God is equitable of all asset, and anything given to us in this life is a blessing. We must not be greedy, instead be humble.

A role model today is rare, but the stereotype of it is all over the place.
