I write this article today, not as a political pundit of any sort. This article is written by someone who has no medical insurance at all. I write this article as an average citizen of the United States of America. I claim to be no one of great importance. I am just someone who knows that there needs to be change in this great country of ours.
It is a known fact that the cost of medical insurance in this country is rising by the day. More and more people are losing their ability to pay for personal health care insurance. I know this to be personally true, A couple of years ago, I had to terminate my personal health care insurance, that I obtained through the "Cobra" plan, from a former employer. That was back in the mid 1990’s. By the time, I had terminated the coverage; the cost had risen so sharply, that I had to cancel the coverage. Because the cost was so great, that I could not continue to pay for the coverage and pay for my other bills as well, I just didn’t make that much money. Conversely, The plan I had was Health Alliance Plan (H.A.P.), which is supposed to be one of the most affordable health insurance companies out there.
