Hillary Clinton has announced her candidacy on her web site.
First reaction -- why so soon? The rumor was that she would take her time about it. The answer has to be Barack Obama. She's feeling the heat.
Her announcement is directed at Bush (we need a new president, essentially) but she also touts her experience, perhaps an implicit distinction between her and Obama.
Second reaction -- why Saturday morning, and on her web site? Is there some advantage to get all the activists and politicos buzzing before the nation as a whole pays attention on Monday morning?
Important - she says that starting Monday evening she will be hosting live web chats on her site, to solicit input and support. We all ought to take advantage of this opportunity to put it out there. She needs to know what our issues with her are.
