This is exactly how David Gregory opened his show "Race For The White House" today. His intro expounded of Obama's "Sociology of the Pennsylvania Electorate" complete with the scratchy audio tape replay of the popularly played segment of what he said in SF. Except no one ever mentions that this clip they continue to play was only a small part of a larger exposition on the frustration of small town voters across the country. There doesn't appear to be any compunction amongst these controversy-mongers about attempting to explain the larger context from which these remarks were taken.
Then Gregory passed the podium over to Joe Scarborough and the whole show went downhill from there. It started out in the gutter and quickly descended into the sewer. I could only stand to watch about 5-10 minutes before I turned it off, vowing to myself while doing so that I would never watch that show again, and I won't.
