Back in mid -December Spc. Thomas "Jerry" Wilson caught a media wave by asking Secretary of Defense Rumsfeld a tough question about vehicle armor. From what I know about how whistleblowers are dealt with, I'm betting that this guy hasn't been treated particularly well since then and he might be feeling a tad lonely.
I think we owe this stand-up guy more than his few days of fame for standing up to "He-Who-Must-Be-Groveled-Before," and we should check in to make sure that he hasn't been assigned to clean toilets 16 hours a day. As I remember he was with a Tennessee National Guard unit out of Chattanooga, but I haven't heard hide nor hair of him since. Has anyone else heard how he's doing?
I'm not sure if more attention will be welcome, but if we can let him know that we're still thinking of him and we appreciate his guts, we should. Any Chattanoogies out there?
