In early September, Wisconsin's Attorney General JB Von Hollen, a Republican, filed suit against the WI Government Accountability Board to "ensure" that the voter registration records were validated. The GAB doesn't want to use a state database to do this validation because it is riddled with errors. In preliminary testing, nearly 20% of names were mismatched due to data entry errors. In fact, 4 or 6 board members for the GAB had erroneous data in the state database.
