A caller -- from Kentucky, I think -- on C-SPAN's "Washington Journal" this morning pinpointed the cause of the financial crisis. Turns out, it wasn't Wall Street being run like a casino, nor was it the absence of those outmoded banking regulations we used to need for the "old economy."
It was black people.
Blacks, the caller informed the nation, have bit off more mortgage than they can chew, and we are now experiencing the blowback.
Well, let's suppose for a moment that the caller was right.
