I waited until now to sit through an entire debate, and I and partner have been here for the whole show, en-fucking-tranced by the quality of discourse. Really.
I’ve been die-hard Bernie since forever, with Warren as strong 2nd, but I have to say that after listening (and watching) what everyone had to say and cheering almost all of it, I’ll have little problem with beeing all in for any of them if it came down to it. Except maybe Steyer, however much I admire his earnestness.
But over all, I am impressed that a real debate can actually be had. Impressed by the extraordinarily low level of bullshit exhibited. OMG!! real issues being discuses!
Amy Klobuchar becomes more and more impressive as a fighter, even as Mayor Pete demonstrates his dancing ability to stay ahead of the issue du jour.
I think I am going to have to accept that whoever the nominee is, they will incorporate into their vision all the insight that we have seen here tonight.
I’m not going to inflict you with the tedium of my opinion of who “WON” THE DEBATE. We all won by the the quality and substance AND vitality of the discourse.
OTOH, as to the “electability” of any of these people, based on whatever, who the fuck really knows. Was Barack Obama “electable” in December of 2007?
But right now, after that debate, fwiw, I feel positive for us and for the Country.
Peace.
