As predicted, Rush Limbaugh is not backing down from his diatribes against "Feminazis" and the entire female gender. In particular, he continues to taunt Sandra Fluke, a 23 y.o. Law student, who as it turns out has a quiet dignity about her, to go along with her intelligence, compassion for others, and a good measure of courage (and toughness!)
Limbaugh mocked the president's statement to Ms. Fluke (when he telephoned her earlier today!) that her parents should be very proud of her. At first Limbaugh (purposely?) got her name wrong (when he called her a slut and a prostitute), today it was her age (he said she was 30), and he's yet to come anywhere close to what she actually discussed in her testimony (her friend who lost her ovary as she was unable to afford the birth control she was prescribed by her doctor.
Needless to say, there was no apology.
And so, it's time to take it up a notch, although I must say in less than a day's time, Limbaugh has already lost two sponsors, and people are receiving replies from companies that have the matter under advisement.
The thing is this: What is there to actually think about? Is it acceptable for someone you sponsor to call a wonderful young woman speaking out on a matter of concern to most of the Nation a slut and a prostitute or isn't it?
Is it acceptable to flat-out lie about what her testimony was, and then degrade her for having a sex life, which by the way, she did not even talk about?
Is it acceptable to tell women that if their birth control is paid for by their health insurance, whether or not it's for the purpose of contraception, that those women, as "repayment" must post video tapes of their intimate physical relations on line for all (such as him and other sleazebags) to see or isn't it?
