By now we've all heard of the scathing report from the Department of Justice that found that police in Ferguson, MO routinely engaged in unconstitutional practices that had the heaviest and most damning impact on it's African-American citizens. And of course, like any true racist, Missouri's Lt. Governor Pete Kinder engages in the usual bit of projection.
From Huffington Post.
"There is more racism in the Justice Department than anywhere I see in the St. Louis area," he said. "We've come an enormous way in 50 years, that's not to say that we don't have still more to do. It is the left, it is the Eric Holder and the Obama left and their minions that are obsessed with race while the rest of us are moving on beyond it."
Of course. How dare "the Obama Left and their minions" remind the country that other races actually exist in this country. How positively racist of them.
As Ferguson officials resign left and right over the DOJ report, and the rest of the city actually tries to move on, Kinder takes the tired old racist ploy of accusing the people who point out their racism of being racist. Perhaps if people like Kinder would join the rest of us in the 21st century (or at least bring himself up to speed on the 20th), he'd realize that the only way to eradicate racism is to acknowledge that it exists.
I wonder if there is some kind of 12 Step Program for racist out there.
