According to the AP, former state legistlator Arlene Wohlgemuth has ruled out running against Chet Edwards in 2006.
If you recall, Chet was the only Texas Democrat to survive DeLay's redistricting gambit. Chet is the representative for the region of Texas that includes Waco, Bryan/College Station, and yes, Crawford.
Edwards: "With $5 million to $8 million spent against me, with President Bush on the ballot winning 68 percent of the vote (in 2004), they are not going to beat me in 2006."
