Some good news on the Nader ballot access trail:
Virginia, Maryland, Illinois, and Missouri all denied Ralph Nader ballot access this week.
This is not terribly surprising; in my analysis earlier this year, I expected that Nader would need to get 25-40% of his Missouri voters to sign petitions to put him on the ballot this year. So it's not terribly surprising that he's not on the ballot there, considering he has had difficulty in places like Michigan, Nevada, Arizona, and Oregon, where he will need more help to get on the ballot.
Coupled with the Reform Party's declaration of bankruptcy, things are looking pretty grim for Naderites, which is good news for the progressive cause.
