Friday Bush signed into law the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act which was attached to a larger port security bill. The anti-gambling act was written by Rep. Robert Goodlatte (R.-Va).
How amazing that a $6 billion per year industry was not only shut down with the stroke of a pen and without public debate but also was made into a criminal --even terrorist -- activity with scant evidence to support the arguments made by its author.
Do I smell Church of Bush here?
Is this as much legislation against "sin" as it is anything else?
Did the separation of church and state -- gasping for life since Bush, by executive order, killed government human services programs and gave their budgets over to rightwing churches and groups -- now heave its last breath as the Bush Theocracy moves to prove to rightwing voters his Church of Bush is worth their vote?
This looks like one of those code thangs to me, so I suspect Bush's Chosen People know what it means.
