The world will be watching as Americans march for Women’s Rights and against the incoming not popularly elected presidential administration on Saturday, January 21, 2017. Please join Los Angeles Kossacks as we add our voices to the growing resistance against those who would circumvent the constitution, commit crimes against human rights and ignore the perils of climate change.
Our tentative plan is to meet at Los Angeles Union Station at 8:45 a.m. and take the Red or Purple lines to Pershing Square. Although the march doesn’t start until 10:00 a.m., experience tells us that very large crowds trying to get on those trains may mean that we may have to wait until many trains load up and leave before we can travel.
The plan is to meet at the pretzel stand; you’ll see it just above Red Cap Assistance on the map of Union Station below. 714day says we will wait 20 minutes for late comers. We are open to a better plan if you have one; PM 714day, gmats or susans to let us know.

It will be loud. We hope it will be loud because that means there will be lots of people getting on trains for Pershing Square. That also means if your phone is in your pocket, purse or backpack, you may not hear it. Carry it in your hand until you find the group. If you are comfortable with sharing your phone number, PM one of us with that. I’ll give you mine.
Your first time at a protest? There are some good tips here on how to gear up here www.wardrobeoxygen.com/…
Although it is written for the D.C. march and the clothing focus is for winter weather, the advice is sound and the non-clothing stuff works anywhere.
If you haven’t added your name to the Los Angeles list yet, that’s fine, but if we don’t expect you, we don’t know to wait if you’re not there when we are ready to get on line for the train. So, let 714day, gmats or susans know you’re coming.
I’ve been asked to add the list of confirmed attendees. Great idea!
