Reminders that while us political addicts are watching on with intense interest at New Hampshire, down at Wall Street, the Market tanked again today, down another 238 points. The late in the day plummet caused by AT&T giving direction to the market that its consumer division is suffering large drops in consumption.
If you look at the type of things ordinary people can cut back when money is tight, communications is probably the first discretionary expenditure, especially cell phones.
The economy has made an appearance in the election debate so far, in fact HRC has been mentioned the R word, but (and look I blame the MSM here), it hasn't been as centre as the whole "change" theme and geo-politics.
As all politics is local, and people are hurting out there, watch for a change in theme after New Hampshire, the "Change" theme will need to be modified to include the economy "stupid!".
