The following is a reprint of a story at Truthout which I wrote with Jason Leopold. It is posted here because, one, some at Daily Kos have asked for it, and two, and mainly, to bring this important story to the Daily Kos audience, some of whom may not have seen it otherwise.
Since publishing this article, I can announce that the Office of Vice President Biden has failed to respond to my inquiry as to whether VP Biden was aware of the report's existence, and if he or his staff could comment as to why no announcement of its completion was made for at least seven months after its completion, and more likely only silently noted on an obscure government website only in the last month or so. This is important because, as the article documents, then-Senator Biden was one of three senators signing a public letter to the DoD and CIA asking for this investigation.
I also asked Biden's office to comment on what the report found. To date (four days later), I've not heard anything back. Perhaps some reader at Daily Kos will have better luck than I. -- The article itself covers more than the drugging issue, but also important news about the state of the interrogation program under the Obama administration.
