A criminal investigation regarding the death of Pat Tillman has been launched by the Pentagon.
Pat Tillman, the NFL football star that joined the military after 9/11 to help find and kill ObL, died in Afghanistan years ago. Tillman is reported by his fellow soldiers as having said of Iraq that "this war is so ****ing illegal." Tillman, though he had returned to Afghanistan, like many of our special forces units best qualified for hunting and killing the terrorist mastermind had been pulled of the scent to fight in Bush's Iraq War. Tillman is reported to have been arranging a meeting with the groundbreaking linguist, seminal anarchist and noted critic of American Imperialism Noam Chomsky.
Interviews also show a side of Pat Tillman not widely known — a fiercely independent thinker who enlisted, fought and died in service to his country yet was critical of President Bush and opposed the war in Iraq, where he served a tour of duty. He was an avid reader whose interests ranged from history books on World War II and Winston Churchill to works of leftist Noam Chomsky, a favorite author.LINK
He was killed by "friendly" fire in Afghanistan. A criminal investigation has now been launched into the circumstances of his death.
