This morning on American AM, a progressive talk show based in the Tampa Bay area, host Henry Raimes asked Valerie Plame Wilson some questions regarding the recent series of stories which have run in the London Sunday Times about Sibel Edmonds' story.
Brad Friedman of Bradblog blogs the story well and provides a partial transcript of the relevant portions of the interview, courtesy of VelvetRevolution.us' Emily Levy. I've included a small exerpt below. Marc Grossman's name is correctly spelled with a c on the end, but I've left the transcript as it was...
Raines: ...[T]he story in the Times of London front page, respected newspaper, is about the third highest person in the State Department, identified in the American Conservative as Mark Grossman ...
VPW: Mm-hmm.
RAINES: ... actually selling our secrets to Turkey and to Israel, and then Turkey would resell them to Pakistan ...
VPW: Right. No, it's stunning. I've seen the series. I don't, right, I think it's very interesting that it's showing up across the pond and not here at all, in any of our newspapers. I have no insight into it, any more than what you're reading, but it's very interesting.
Since lukery is travelling and won't be blogging the Sibel Edmonds story on a regular basis, it's up to the rest of us to do what we can to keep up on this story and keep it going around the internet, since it's pretty clear that the US media has its hands full with all Britney all the time and can't be bothered to report on or investigate actual news anymore.
