A few days ago the WaPo printed a column about how dumb women are. I think it garnered a few letters in opposition. Maybe more than a few. Most women are not stupid. Though a few are. And most Obama supporters are not stupid, and certainly Obama is not. But the adolescent minded Obama attack dogs on DKos seem to fit exactly in the mode of Charlotte Allen's column on the WaPo the other day. Let's see what she wrote.
Below the fold:
As a Hillary supporter, I was glad to see her win in three of the four states on the lineup for Tuesday. Go Hillary. And she looked so happy and "up" in her "thank you" speach to an enthusiastic Obama-like crowd of Hillary supporters in Ohio.
But the adolescent crowd of Obama fanatics on Daily Kos immediately began to whin, cry, fall on their backs and kick and scream, and threaten to take their balls and go home if their candidate doesn't win the Democratic nomination. And just see the amazing pile of crap they have been throwing on the shit pile that they, along with the once equally fanatic Edwards supporters, have created in the rec'ed DKos diaries for the past several weeks. A few of Hillary's supporters may have done this as well, I just can't remember any of us doing this, other than maybe me.
From the WaPo column by Ms. Allen:
We Scream, We Swoon. How Dumb Can We Get?
Wednesday, March 5 at 2 p.m. ET: Charlotte Allen on Outlook Article,
"Women 'Falling for Obama,' " the story's headline read. Elsewhere around the country, women were falling for the presidential candidate literally. Connecticut radio talk show host Jim Vicevich has counted five separate instances in which women fainted at Obama rallies since last September. And I thought such fainting was supposed to be a relic of the sexist past, when patriarchs forced their wives and daughters to lace themselves into corsets that cut off their oxygen.
Is this what's happening to the adolescent Obama fanatics at DKos these days? Are their pants laced too tight?
I can't help it, but reading about such episodes of screaming, gushing and swooning makes me wonder whether women -- I should say, "we women," of course -- aren't the weaker sex after all. Or even the stupid sex, our brains permanently occluded by random emotions, psychosomatic flailings and distraction by the superficial. Women "are only children of a larger growth," wrote the 18th-century Earl of Chesterfield. Could he have been right?
Since I know most of the Obama DKos fanatics are young white males, this can't be the case among them. This indeed would seem to indicate that young white males are the stupider sex. I think I will just substitute "DKos Obama fanatics" for "women" from now on, and see where this takes us.
I'm not the only (person) who's dumbfounded (as it were) by (the DKos's Obama fanatics). A female friend of mine plans to write a horror novel titled "Office of (DKos Obama fanatics)" in which nothing ever gets done and everyone spends the day talking about (Obama).
We exaggerate, of course. And obviously (Hillary fanatics)do dumb things, too. When (Hillary fanatics) do dumb things, though, they tend to be catastrophically dumb, such as blowing the paycheck on booze or much, much worse (think "postal"). (DKos's Obama fanatics) foolishness is usually harmless. But it can be so . . . embarrassing.
Not entirely true since it seems that it is only some DKos Obama fanatics who are the ones threatening to "go postal."
Now (DKos's Obama fanatics) are whining that Hillary and the MSM boys are ganging up on Obama when he's been bested by Hillary in 3 of the 4 Tuesday's states. (Two more big'uns, TX and OH to go along with CA, NY, FL, MA, and others. Obama's picked up such Democratic powerhouses as Idaho, Wyoming, SC, GA, AL, LA and Montana) (DKos's Obama fanatics) weep here on the DKos campaign trail, even though everyone knows that tears are the last refuge of losers.
Well, I will give you just a little more of this doodoo. Surely you have just about enough now to make a judgement.
What is it about (DKos Obama fanatics)? Why do
(they) always fall for the hysterical, the superficial and the gooily sentimental?
.
I wonder if anyone one will rec this Hillary diary? :-)
