Yes.
Last week, an important Clinton adviser told Jim VandeHei and Mike Allen (also of Politico) that Clinton had no more than a 10 percent chance of getting the nomination. Now, she’s probably down to a 5 percent chance.
Five percent.
So, why is this still going on? Why are the so-called Democratic Elite allowing this? Do they want to screw this up on purpose?
We know the Clintons do. They could not care less about the good of the Democratic Party. If they did, their reality hats would have been on.
Let’s take a look at what she’s going to put her party through for the sake of that 5 percent chance: The Democratic Party is probably going to have to endure another three months of daily sniping. For another three months, we’ll have the Carvilles likening the Obamaites to Judas and former generals accusing Clintonites of McCarthyism. For three months, we’ll have the daily round of résumé padding and sulfurous conference calls. We’ll have campaign aides blurting "blue dress" and only-because-he’s-black references as they let slip their private contempt.
I hope everyone read the above paragraph because that is what is going on NOW and will intensify FURTHER. Pretty soon a very ugly word is going to come from either camp, and you know what, they won't care because the hate will be that intense.
Folks, I don't like this. How stupid are we? Really, how stupid? Are we going to let this prolong because one candidate cannot add the math? Are we?
I don't like what the Clintons are doing. And not one person can defend them on purposely kneecapping Barack Obama. They know they don't have an asshat's chance in winning, but they would rather John McCain, an overall weak candidate win, than the hope and energy of Barack Obama.
Why? They are selfish and could not care less. Barack Obama stole the Clintons thunder, he did not wait his turn, right now the Darth Vadar Clinton Eyes are beaming down on Barack Obama and his candidacy. They don't care about the party, as a whole, they only care about coming back to save us in 2012. They rather have total chaos.
For the sake of that 5 percent, this will be the sourest spring. About a fifth of Clinton and Obama supporters now say they wouldn’t vote for the other candidate in the general election. Meanwhile, on the other side, voters get an unobstructed view of the Republican nominee. John McCain’s approval ratings have soared 11 points. He is now viewed positively by 67 percent of Americans. A month ago, McCain was losing to Obama among independents by double digits in a general election matchup. Now McCain has a lead among this group.
For three more months, Clinton is likely to hurt Obama even more against McCain, without hurting him against herself. And all this is happening so she can preserve that 5 percent chance.
When you step back and think about it, she is amazing. She possesses the audacity of hopelessness.
Hillary Clinton has only herself to blame for her failure as a candidate with no message, bad mismanagement of funds, unqualified individuals picked by her to run a campaign into the ground.
She is bitter and pissed. So, she rather the Democratic Party not succeed only to preserve her measly 5%. Pathetic.
Folks, it is time to denounce the Clintons. It really is.
