God that felt good!
Walking side by side with like minded people, chanting, showing our signs to the TV cameras, hearing the cars honk in support as they pass by, seeing the pitiful little crowd of pitifully small minded people in the counter protest.
No War! No Bush! No Spying! No Bush!
To get away from the keyboard and see, hear, feel, smell the crush of people protesting. It was great. Hundreds of police in riot gear, trembling in fear of what could happen if the 10's of thousands of peacefull protesters weren't so peaceful.
Wait a minute...that never happened. Too bad it was all in my imagination.
I went to the County Democrats web page a couple weeks ago to find the local March 18 protest for the nations 4th largest city.
Not there.
Contacted some party people. No clue.
Contacted my Congresswoman who had just participated in a panel discussion with Scott Ritter "We're not organizing anything".
Had to go to the socialists, the worker's party people to find any march organizers. Found 3. All in crappy locations. A plan to guarantee failure.
So the corporate controlled media either doesn't report the marches at all--and why should they? 30 people in a town of 4 million isn't news--or uses the pitiful turnout to support their propaganda that Uhmeruhkins support Bush.
Bush support is in the 30's.
There will never be a better time to stage massive protests against the illegal actions of our would be king.
But Democrats aren't doing it.
Why?
And why should we support them if they won't?
If we don't show our dissent, isn't our silence acceptance?
Do you support Bush?
Where were you yesterday?
