Lie #1 - When asked if we are better off than we were 8 years ago Cheney responds by saying
Well I think we've done some very good things over the course of the last 8 years, defending the country against further terrorist attacks like 9-11 I think is a major accomplishment for example.
That's curious. There hadn't been a terrorist attack like 9-11 eight years ago. This is a ploy used by this administration's current propaganda campaign that pretends as if 9-11 happened before they got there, despite having been given a document entitled Bin Laden Determined to Attack Inside the United States (pdf). I guess if you don't count the most heinous act of terrorism in the history of the world happening on your watch, then you did a bang up job.
Lie #2 - On the same question
I can point to tax policy. A series of policies and actions that were put in place that were significant progress.
Of course, he doesn't bother to mention exactly how these policies benefited the United States. He must be talking about how his friends and cronies are better off than eight years ago, because I sure as shit am not, and neither are the vast majority of the American people. Quick, change the subject.
...just as our task when we came in was ultimately to deal with the aftermath of 9-11, where we had to take on the global war on terror.
When they came in, there was no global war on terror. There were warnings and signs which they ignored. They failed to prevent 9-11, and failed to capture the culprit for seven years hence. The only competence he's shown is spinning utter failure into brilliant success.
Lie #3 - Asked what the state of Iraq is
I think Iraq is much better off than it was before we went in.
This is not a lie if only we could simply overlook the hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqis that have died as a result of this unlawful invasion and occupation. No wait, I take that back, it's still a fucking lie.
Lie #4 - The question: Wouldn't it have been better to have a better and larger force?
I think the original campaign was masterfully done in terms of small fast moving forces... I think the thing we underestimated or at least I underestimated was the damage that had been done to the Iraqi population by all those years of Saddam's rule so that there weren't any Iraqis early on who were willing to stand up and take responsibility for their own affairs
This is golden. It wasn't our fault that the Iraqis failed to embrace us as liberators, our plan was perfect, but the Iraqi people, well they were weak and stupid and frankly cowards. They wouldn't stand up for themselves. But before he finishes the answer he blatantly lies again and contradicts himself in one fell swoop.
I'm not sure that having 4-500,000 troops there would've achieved the objective that we're talking about that... what we finally did, what finally sort of got us across the goal line here was the surge.
You're not sure if 4-500k troops would've achieved the objective that the surge achieved? I'm no expert in logic, but isn't that a direct contradiction of itself? Thank goodness Schieffer caught him with this blatant lie. Cheney responds, well we only added 30,000 troops. What a crock of shit.
What number are we on? I lost track of the lies in just the first 10 minutes of this asshole opening his mouth. Oh yeah...
Lie #5 - This was my favorite question. "Do you think you looked at the intelligence and saw what you wanted to see rather than make a real logical analysis of what you saw?"
No, I don't Bob.
There is plenty of literature that proves otherwise, Dick.
Lie #6 - On illegal surveillance of Americans.
I know when, what happened was, everybody who was in the room that day for example, when I got the leadership down, the chairmen and ranking members of the intelligence committee, including Senator Rockefeller, and asked them if they thought we should continue the program, they said yes. Do we need to come to congress and get authorization for it? They said no.
Seriously? Do you expect us to believe that you asked if you needed authorization for something?
Lie #7 - Ok, this one is hilarious. On the limits of the presidency in time of war -
Cheney: If you hark back in our history you can look at Abraham Lincoln who suspended the Writ of Habeus Corpus in the middle of the Civil War, umm...
Schieffer: But nobody thinks that was legal!
Cheney: Well no, well it certainly was in the sense that he wasn't impeached.
Holy shit! A crime is not really a crime unless you are convicted of it? And this whole time I was under the impression that Laws constituted what is legal and what is not, and not specific people. Boy was I wrong.
Lie #8 (although he'd lied way more than 8 times by now) -
Guantanamo is there to hold people we believe are unlawful combatants that were captured in the war on terror, many of them members of Al Qaeda. They're well treated.
His blatant denial of reality speaks for itself. It amazes me that a Vice President of this great country can sit on a national broadcast called Face the Nation and repeatedly lie over and over about the legality of his and his president's abuses of power. What a treasonous bastard.

Reclist?! Thx.
