...instead of reading serious journalism.
First, witness this from Michael Learner, writing in Politico:
President Barack Obama’s very nonideological pragmatism, which has received so much praise inside the Beltway and which has given him public support in his few months in office, will ultimately be the downfall of his presidency.
Second, witness this from Charles Krauthammer, in the same issue of Politico:
Obama, Krauthammer has written in his syndicated Washington Post column, is committed to "radical health care, energy and education reforms," central to a "social democratic agenda" that promises deep — and ominous — transformations to American life.
That's from the SAME issue of Politico.
This is why Americans tune out the press. It's seems so... obvious that viewpoints we're getting are colored to the point of distortion by the point of view of the writers.
And with the points of view being so divergent, what's a person who just wants it straight to do?
Well, there's always Spike TV.
Sorry for the rant.
