Heard on NBC News this morning was the announcement that the 5 British Sailors kidnapped on their yacht by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard have been towed back out to sea.
The British crew on Kingdom of Bahrain were a group of young inexperienced delivery sailors who found themselves becalmed in a British Volvo 60, without a propeller and drifting across a border that arguably meant little to them. Britain says the yacht, called Kingdom of Bahrain, drifted inadvertently into Iranian waters while en route from Bahrain to a race off Dubai when Iranian forces stopped it Wednesday.
A close aide to President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said the five, who were sailing from Bahrain to Dubai to take part in a race, would be put through the due legal process.
"Judiciary will decide about the five," Esfandiar Rahim-Mashaie, the president's head of staff, told the Iranian news agency Fars. "Naturally our measures will be hard and serious if we find out they had evil intentions."
Evil intentions, from 5 kids on a sailboat with no mechanical propulsion.
