Today, Scott Brown has rushed to the defense of Paul Ryan’s budget plan. What is truly incredible is that Senator Brown has refused to answer questions about how the plan would affect seniors.
The results of Scott Brown’s and Congressman Ryan’s plan to privatize Medicare are clear. Their plan would dismantle the system, and impact millions of seniors across the country. Future Medicare beneficiaries would be forced to pay $6,400 more in health care costs.
I understand that Medicare is a government program in need of reform, but we can save Medicare without dismantling it. We must do everything we can to protect this vital safety net for our nation’s seniors. Health care costs must be reduced across the spectrum, and simply shifting the cost burden to our most vulnerable citizens is not the right answer. We can achieve this by lowering prescription drug prices, incentivizing patient outcomes, and eliminating inefficiencies. To read about more of the details of my health care plan click here.
I am confident that Massachusetts’s voters will hold Scott Brown accountable for his record in the Senate, and I will continue to speak out about the issues that matter to families across this state: creating jobs, reducing health care costs, and protecting the middle class. I hope you’ll join me.

Brown is dodging more questions about privatizing Medicare: http://tinyurl.com/.... Massachusetts deserves a Senator who will be clear in fighting for seniors, and opposing the privatization of Medicare – not someone who simply refuses to say where they stand.
