A group of mostly frustrated democrats and progressives protested today in front of the Arizona democratic party headquarters. The major themes of the protest appeared to be the group's frustration with what they feel are appeasement by some members of the Arizona democratic party executive committee to immigrant bashing legislation more specifically the law called: s.b. 1070. The second major theme of frustration for the group is the apparent suppression of bonafide grassroots democratic candidates by some members of the Arizona and Maricopa county democratic party executive committees.

The group advertised itself on facebook with the title: "Time To Take A Stance !" http://www.facebook.com/... . At the beginning of the protest the group was apparently threatened with "trespassing" by an employee or official of the Arizona Democratic party headquarters. As this group of disgruntled democrats and progressives talked with the democratic party headquarters official two Phoenix police officers were on scene monitoring what was going on.
All in all, the group was able to turn out on short notice around 50 people for the protest. The group's organizer Angel Garcia plans on holding protests weekly until their concerns are addressed. More in depth reasons for this protest were discussed in the last article in this series by progressive democrats on their growing frustration of the Arizona and Maricopa Democratic party executive committees: http://www.examiner.com/.... . In addition, no response has been given by the Arizona Attorney General's office or The Arizona Secretary of State's office in regards to the legal letter of complaint filed regarding suspected candidate suppression by members of the Arizona and Maricopa Democratic party executive committees.
