Washinton, D.C. - Baldwin Guards Shadowed Senator Maritine in West Virginia?!
Senator Maritine of New Jersey stated today that while he was in West Virginia, he was constantly shadowed by detectives. He has just returned from West Virginia where he was part of the Senate Subcommittee investigating conditions in the coalfields. The Senator says that these detectives took notes as he spoke on the street with Mother Jones. He believes that they were Baldwin guards.
The Senator intends to raise this issue of espionage in West Virginia before the Senate this week. He will not ask the Senate to take any action against the Baldwins, but he believes that the Senate and the public should be made aware of the facts.
West Virginia! Where even a United States Senator may not be safe from the Baldwin gun thugs!

From The Nation: Five Walmart Strikers Have Been Fired
In an updated article, Josh Eidelson reports on the terminations of Walmart strikers. Representatives Keith Ellison and Alan Grayson have condemned these illegal actions by Walmart:
Of the roughly 100 Walmart workers who this month went on strike and traveled to Arkansas, OUR Walmart alleges that five have been fired, ten have received disciplinary “coachings,” and one has been suspended. Along with Lisa Lopez from Orlando, the other fired workers are from Miami; Chicago; and Lakewood, California. Organizers allege that one of workers was told directly that the termination was for striking, and that several of the “coachings” were identified as punishment for “unexcused absence” during the strike.
Asked about the firings of Walmart workers who went on strike, Congressman Keith Ellison told The Nation, “One, they are to be expected. Two, they are completely unjust and illegal.” ...
Reached by e-mail, Congressman Alan Grayson (D-FL) also slammed Lisa Lopez’s termination: “It’s ridiculous that WalMart would fire an employee for bringing WalMart’s own rule book to the job. Whom do they think they are fooling? Would WalMart fire me for bringing the Constitution to work?”
