Donald Trump supporters have turned their white-hot rage away from protesters and turned them toward a new target—delegates who’ve been less than supportive of their golden-haired candidate. Indiana State Police are taking the threats seriously:
State police are reviewing alleged threats against Indiana delegates who were critical of Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump.
"What I can share with you at this time is information has been referred to the Indiana State Police that alleges threatening emails have been sent to some Indiana delegates that will be participating in the Republican National Convention in Cleveland, OH," said Capt. David Bursten, a state police spokesman. "Presently the Indiana State Police is reviewing the information to determine if it may cross the line of free speech and could be considered criminal in nature."
In Colorado, the chairman of the Colorado GOP has reportedly received thousands of threats:
Also in Colorado, Larry Lindsey—a self-described “lifelong Republican voter”—burned his Republican registration information and told the party to "go to hell!" over a misunderstanding about whether he was a state delegate or not. He says he’s a Trump supporter and party elites intentionally misled him.
It’s almost as if Republicans are losing control over the mob they helped whip into a frenzy. Congrats, GOP—you built that.
