Barack Obama:
At 53-44, that +9 approval rating is the highest since January 2013, right after his second inauguration. Amazing what a year of watching the GOP clown parade has done to his numbers, huh?
Hillary Clinton:
In the polling aggregate, Clinton now has the smallest spread between fave and unfave this entire year at -7.5), and the direction of her trendlines is clear, and will continue accelerating as 1) the party unites, and 2) her contrast against Donnster Trump becomes more obvious. And in case you’re wondering, Trump is headed in the opposite direction (currently at 61-36, or -25 and worsening).
Democratic Party:
That poll shows nearly half of Americans have a favorable view of the Democratic Party, while only about one out of three view the Republican Party favorably. And again, the trends look to be in our favor. Of course, that’s just one poll. Let’s look at the aggregates of both parties:
Democrats:
Republicans:
Dramatic, huh? And with Don Trump hanging around the GOP’s neck, those trends only promise to accelerate. Republicans are drowning. Normally our job would be to (metaphorically) throw them anvils. Who knew that the most prolific anvil-thrower would be Donnie Trump himself?
