Yesterday (30 April 2024), immediately after Justice Juan Merchan fined Donald Trump, the defendant, for violating his gag order and warned him about the possibility of a carceral penalty for doing it again, the defendant used his captive social media company to post his bitter feelings about the trial:
This Judge has taken away my Constitutional Right to FREE SPEECH. I am the only Presidential Candidate in History to be GAGGED. This whole “Trial” is RIGGED, and by taking away my FREEDOM OF SPEECH, THIS HIGHLY CONFLICTED JUDGE IS RIGGING THE PRESIDENTIAL OF 2024 ELECTION… [Oh, that’s certainly enough.]
[2:09 PM - 4/30/2024]
[N.B. This guy’s grammar and formatting are enough to justify a carceral penalty, IMHO.]
Yesterday, I suggested the judge (Justice Merchan) prefer him for charges of obstruction of justice. Here’s another prime example. This entire post is claiming that the trial is rigged, the judge is corrupt, and he’s being denied his right to free speech (while exercising it).
The judge would be within his rights when the defendant is back in court to grill him about this post. Does he have any proof that that the trial is rigged? Does he have any proof that the judge is conflicted? Or is this just defamation of character and a baseless attempt to obstruct justice?
And the judge ought to just demand a retraction.
He should dictate to Donald Trump what he will put in his next social media post:
I’m sorry for my outburst the other day. None of my constitutional rights have been violated. This trial is not rigged. It is taking place because a grand jury found credible evidence of crimes and found that I had probably committed those crimes. I have literally no evidence that Justice Merchan is conflicted or rigging the trial.
Those are the actual facts, contrary to what I claimed on Tuesday, and I think all of my supporters should know the truth.
True, his supporters will immediately know that Little Dictator didn’t write this himself, just based on the spelling, grammar, punctuation, and adherence to the rules of formatting.
But, let’s see if the truth can be squeezed out of this defendant.
