The AP put out a nice story today about Al Gore's movie.

WASHINGTON -- The nation's top climate scientists are giving "An Inconvenient Truth," Al Gore's documentary on global warming, five stars for accuracy.
The former vice president's movie replete with the prospect of a flooded New York City, an inundated Florida, more and nastier hurricanes, worsening droughts, retreating glaciers and disappearing ice sheets mostly got the science right, said all 19 climate scientists who had seen the movie or read the book and answered questions from The Associated Press.
The Global Warming Denialists are pissed and have launched a campaign to discredit AP.
The press guy working this story for the Senate Committee on Enviroment and Public Works is Marc Morano.
Morano just got this job working for Sen. Infofe's committee. Here is his background.
Marc Morano
Marc Morano is Senior Staff Writer for CNSNews.com and is previously known as Rush Limbaugh's "Man in Washington," as reporter and producer for the Rush Limbaugh Television Show, as well as a former correspondent and producer for American Investigator, the nationally syndicated TV newsmagazine. His reporting has made national news with appearances and coverage on The O'Reilly Factor, Special Report w/ Brit Hume, USA Today, The Washington Times, The Wall Street Journal, the American Spectator and Human Events, as well as online with National Review, Newsmax.com, WorldnetDaily, and the Drudge Report. Additionally, Marc has appeared on Politically Incorrect, NBC and ABC News and the McLaughlin Group, and has also reported for a wide variety of radio programs, including the Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity and Oliver North Shows. Mr. Morano has both White House and Capitol Hill press credentials; and as a side note...holds the distinction of being the first journalist in history to have his video camera seized by the Clinton White House while on assignment. source
CNSNews, his former employer, is part of the vast right wing echo chamber funded by the Scaife Foundation. They also fund the Competitive Enterprise Institute which the New York Times revealed back in 2003 was paid to confuse the public about global warming science, much like the tobbaco scientists who claimed there was nothing wrong with smoking.
But the Scientific Concensus that man-made pollution causes global warming has been clear since 2004 reports Science Magazine.
Ingoring the facts, and doing the bidding of oil companies, wingnut GOP Senators have now turned to a Gannonesque right-wing propagandist as their PR point man on the issue in their lame attempt to smear AP and Al Gore.
It's all just a little sad.
I hope journalists can see through the well-funded haze.
