Clark 12
Dean 11
Sharpton 8
Lieberman 6 |
All in all, I'm not going on a limb by calling a good day for Kerry, but enough crumbs for Edwards and Clark to keep them along through March 2. Dean, of course, has drawn his line in the sand in Saturday's Washington and Michigan caucuses.
Potential surprises? Clark could best Kerry in Arizona. Kerry or Edwards could win Oklahoma. Kerry could win South Carolina. Clark could win North Dakota.
In fact, given the annointment of Kerry as the Democratic Party nominee, turnout may very well be depressed giving harder core supporters a chance to drive their candidate to surprise finishes. Dean is pretty hopeless tomorrow, but he, Clark and Edwards may all benefit from lower voter turnout Tuesday.
