Winners, losers, and a fairly meh day politcally...
The Good: When it finally came down to it, I voted John Kerry. We have a winner. And the part of me that still sides with Howard Dean is glad he took Vermont. The local library levy passed, the ridiculous Lakewood blight controversy finally got buried, Christine McMonagle goes back to the bench, and Eric Fingerhut, Tim DeGeeter, and Dennis Kucinich are on their way to November.
The Bad: Tim "Funny You Couldn't Figure Out Fundraising When You Were Running For Governor, You Hack" Hagan beats out Tim McCormick for a spot on the county commission. The local school levy goes down in flames along with the county economic boost issue. And we were spared the sight of Dean DePiero and Deborah Lime in the same state party committee. (That would've been a hoot and a half in and of itself.)
On to November! Time to marshal up some cash for Kerry, Fingerhut, and Kucinich...
