The Chinese government has announced that Hong Kong won't be getting any more democracy, at least in the foreseeable future. The big decisions are that the Chief Executive (yes, that's what he's called) will not be elected, and that only half of the legislature will be popularly elected (the rest will be chosen by various interest groups). This goes against the views of the vast majority in Hong Kong. Expect more big pro-democracy demonstrations this summer.
