I've been meaning to post this diary for a while, and today is a good time, now that I'm back from DC and the march. I've noticed (with my own questionable observational skills) that there are really six topics that get blogged here extensively (outside of horse race stuff). They are: 1. Which primary candidate we support/supported and why; 2. Ralph Nader; 3. Iraq; 4. Gay marriage; 5. Reproductive rights; and 6. the Israel-Palestinian conflict.
I've concluded that each question commands an overwhelming majority on one side of the issue--even though only one (abortion) yields simlarly lopsided numbers in the party in general. The generic dKos positions on the six, as I have observed are: 1. Howard Dean; 2. Oppose Nader's run in 2004; 3. Anti-war (before going in and now); 4. Support gay marriage; 5. Pro choice; and 6. Pro Palestinian.
I'm curious to test my theories. I have included a poll asking which opposite positions (if any) you all hold. Speaking for myself, I have the heretical view on 2 of 6 (Edwards in the primaries and generally pro-Israel). What about everyone else?
P.S. I realize that many of these are nuanced issues. I am asking for an up or down, more one side than the other type vote here. Suck it up.
