We will not be able to win this election until we get back to the main topics at hand. While the Iraq War has been a complete disaster and tragic waste, we cannot effectively convince the entire country that the war was a function of Bush's mawkish incompetency. What we can do is continue to mention Bin Ladin, Bin Ladin, Bin Ladin.
I would love to hear Kerry ask President Bush "Why have you mentioned Osama bin Ladin's name fewer than 10 times in the last 2 years and Saddam Hussein's name hundreds of times? Saddam didn't kill 3000 Americans, Osama bin Ladin did."
There is a good reason why the RNC didn't mention bin Ladin once: THEY STILL HAVEN'T APPREHENDED THE MAN WHO KILLED 3000 AMERICANS. I mean, just let that sink in. If a person killed 30 people, we would have a nation-wide man hunt if we knew who it was. We know who Osama is, and we have a pretty damn good idea where he is. Why have we let him continue to plot against us for 3 years? I don't buy the argument that we can't catch him because Afganistan is such a good place to hide. If we put 100,000 of the best trained troops in the world (ours) in the general location of Osama's hideout, we would find him in a manner of weeks, at the most a few months.
By not hunting down Osama, the Bush adminstration has allowed the slaughter of 3000 Americans to go unanswered, especially since Iraq did not have a hand in the murder of our people. Invading Iraq is like Clinton arresting and executing Tim McVeigh's friend and letting McVeigh go off free.
This sort of incompetence is easy to see, and easy to attack. We need to mention bin Ladin every day because apparently the administration is justifiably afraid to talk about him.
