The businessman's snobbery strikes again. Tim Michels took on Russ Feingold in a one hour debate tonight in Wisconsin. He wasn't bad for a rookie, but he made two mistakes that really weakened his possible appeal: he assumed that people think that the concerns of businessmen are the same as the concerns of everyone else and he assumed that he could merely assert that he could be a better senator without showing that he could.
His talking points were few, and, as Senator Feingold pointed out, he went back to the same point once without making any effort to correct it after Senator Feingold pointed out his error to him.
After this, it's quite clear that Wisconsin Republicans sent in their third string because the leaders savaged each other.
