Howard Dean, feeling a bit worried about the effect of the confederate flag flap on his campaign according to
this New York Times article, has apologized after consulting with Jimmy Carter, specifically saying he "apologized for any people in the South who thought they were being stereotyped." He also said he deeply regrets any pain caused by his remarks.
Some people, however, seem to feel that Dean should not have apologized because he had nothing to apologize for. What do you think?
