As reported on WTOV9 (based in Steubenville OH) last night, 171 voters in Jefferson County have been notified that their eligibility is being challenged by Steubenville resident Edward Pankus. The county board of elections is holding hearings this Thursday and suggests that the challengee bring any and all documents proving that they are a citizen of the county at least 30 days with a valid address matching the registration form. Witnesses are permitted. One man was interviewed on camera and stated that he registered recently with a PO Box address and received notice that his eligibility was being challenged. No mention was made of any legal representation by the challenger, challengees, or the county elections board.

Some of the DailyKos Google-philes may be able to help with information on Mr. Pankus. So far I've been able to determine that he does or did work for Catholics United for the Faith, based in Steubenville OH.
