This is an interesting tidbit which I was previously totally unaware of. Voters have the right to take time off from their job in order to go to the polls on Election day.
This is a critical issue regarding the Lines and wait times people will see on Nov. 2nd. At this point, regardless of success of Repuke efforts to slow down the voting, with Turnout expected to exceed the entire registered numbers of 2000, I'm not even sure if the polls can handle it. Think about it, Voting precincts are used to handling at most 55% turnout. If by interest, we see 70% nationwide, this will create huge crunches and delays, sure to be reported widely on the morning of election day.
What the media won't say is that it doesn't matter. You, the voter, has the right to wait in line, and not get penalized by your employer.
Tell this to every person you see this weekend during your GOTV efforts.
