I'm here in Orlando, Florida doing GOTV.
There's a problem here that many people are complaining about and nobody knows what to do about. It's a major visibility materials shortage.
We need more materials! If you live in a battleground area, and have bumper stickers, signs, or pins around, bring them to your local Dems office!

We are OUT of most visibility items. Bumper stickers, signs, pins. Today I was at the Supervisor of Elections office dropping off a voter, and found the place plastered in Bush-Cheney - without a single Kerry sign. Was told there were none to be had. After some persistence, some were found and sent over. Now, there is an emergency stash for election day visibility. But it's not enough.
So Orlando is out.
Called Palm Beach, they're out.
Called Florida HQ, they're out of everything.
Called National, they're out, and explained that they recognize the problem but cannot buy more supplies because they have already allocated the $76M and cannot go over-budget.
Now, there could be stuff I don't know, because I don't think I spoke with senior people. But this is clearly a problem. There are people coming in asking for these supplies. Here in Orlando, there are very few cars with bumper stickers and signs are few and far between.
Here's my request: If you live in a battleground state, and have extra materials, bring them to your local Dems office! If you're traveling to a battleground state, bring as much material as possible from your state to the battleground state!
If you have any other ideas for last minute exposure that's time-effective (GOTV is obviously priority, but visibility IS important) please suggest it here.
Thanks all!
