My List:
- The one and ONLY James Carville.
- Michael Whouley, mostly for his organizing/turnout skills.
- John Judis/Texeira; perceptive and convincing on direction of country.
O-VER-RATED:
1 Joe Trippi; He's good on the little things, bad on the big ones. More of a primary campaign manager than a general election CM. On the plus side- ran spectacularly successful Gephardt campaign in 1988 :)
2 Donna Brazille; excellent for turnout, bad on strategy. Altho I'm led to believe Gore's pollsters steered his campaign, Brazille should have fought more convincingly against their suggestions (at least early in the campaign, near the end Gore pressed his populist credentials).
