With 99% of the precincts in Florida reporting, there have been 7,202,382 votes counted in the state so far. If Bush just recouped his 48.8% from the last election, he'd have 3,514,762 votes in Florida right now. He's exceeded that by 268,355.
Somehow:
In a state "lost" by the Democrats last time because of widespread and nationally infamous fraud, and we should have been motivated as hell to GOTV this time...
Where blacks seemed particularly motivated to make their voices heard in this election...
Where there were reports of voting lines snaking around blocks, and people waiting hours to cast early ballots, indicating record turnouts...
Where polls indicated Kerry had the support of Latinos and had made inroads into the Cuban-American vote...
Where the last composite polls had the race at about 47-47, with Kerry winning the state if he just got 60% of the undecideds...
Where the exit polls all day had Kerry holding a lead...
Without Nader cutting into the Dems' tally this time...
Bush and his disastrous record were able to pick up 268,355 votes above his share of the state electorate in the last election and claim a 52-47 win tonight.
Does that add up? HOW did that happen, if the election was not rigged?
