Which stated Arthur Pinner, Democratic Chair of Dixie County had voted for Bush himself..
Excepted from Tampa Tribune today 11/11/04 Metro Section (Link Above):
Dubious Democrats
Arthur Pinner, Dixie County Democratic chairman, took the argument further. He voted personally for Bush, he said, ``on account of his morals.''
Kerry ``was a liberal way down the road; he believed in same-sex marriage and abortion,'' Pinner said. ``It came out in all the magazines.''
Pinner couldn't name which magazines reported that - in fact, Kerry opposes gay marriage - before clarifying that his source wasn't a magazine.
``Pamphlets that was passed out in church,'' he said. He wasn't sure whom the pamphlets came from, but said, ``I believed them enough so I didn't vote for him.''
I wrote Scott Maddox and requested the removal of Mr. Pinner as Chair as it goes against the sworn statements members of the Florida DEC are required to make not to support or endorse anyone but Democratic candidates (or words to that effect..this is not verbatim but you get the idea).
I then called this wingnut up at 352-498-3878 which is the contact number on the fladems.com website for Dixie County and he just started talking "Did I believe in Jesus?" to which I replied "I believe in the separation of Church and State". Then he asked me if I believed in abortion and I stated "I believe if someone takes a sworn oath to support Democratic Candidates as a member of the DEC, he keeps that word". He then hung up.
I asked for his removal by Scott Maddox as he has broken the sworn oath.
