During 2004, with the heightened election coverage, have you sworn off reading or listening to or watching any particular media muckamucks?
I have. Specifically: Mickey Kaus of Slate, David Brooks of the New York Times and NPR and PBS, and William Safire of the New York Times.
These are people I used to read. (There are of course numerous people I've never bothered with, so I don't need to swear off them. For example, I don't think I've ever even listened to Sean Hannity, because I don't have cable TV.)
I swore off Kaus, Brooks, and Safire because they don't seem to have any core beliefs that I can understand. There's no there there. I can read and listen to other conservatives, if I'm able to believe that they have core beliefs.
Which columnists, writers, and pundits have you sworn off this year?
