Here is one of those hack jobs that falls into that "Well, it's Saturday, I'm going to bang out some some GOPUSA talking point crap and go home." articles.
Prewar intel should be off-limits in campaign
In it, the author argues that, even in the light of evidence from O'Neill and Kay, the possibility that Bush would have gone to war for cynical, fraudulent reasons is so far beyond the limits of belief that any presidential candidate that suggests it must be a cynical fraud. Oh, and since everything turned out great anyway, who cares?
Prewar intel should be off-limits in campaign

Before the United States invaded Iraq a year ago, a lot of Democrats demanded that President George W. Bush produce evidence showing an imminent threat against Americans.
As major combat operations came to a close last spring, they continued their call for proof that Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction.
Earlier this month, they started champing at the bit when former Treasury Secretary Paul O'Neill charged that Bush had been looking for reasons to topple Saddam ever since he took office.
Wednesday, former weapons inspector David Kay said publicly that Iraq probably doesn't have -- and probably hadn't had for some time -- such weapons or the capability to build them. We were all wrong in our assumptions about Iraq's military power, Kay declared.
If Democrats, particularly the ones running for president, are looking for material with which to blast Bush, O'Neill and Kay are serving them ammunition on a silver platter. They need only light the fuse.
But if they're judicious, Democrats will not attack Bush over the prewar intelligence he used in deciding to make war against Saddam. To even hint that Bush intentionally misled the American people and sent American troops in harm's way to settle a family score, to raise his approval ratings or because he's just that trigger-happy would demonstrate a cynicism in politics that would make the accusers look monumentally phony.
More of this idiocy...
