From todays Capital Times in Madison comes this new poll:
Badger Poll: Wisconsin voters like Bush, but want him out
Although they continue to like George W. Bush personally, a majority of likely voters in a Wisconsin poll would like to see someone other than Bush elected president in November, according to the latest Badger Poll.
Fifty-one percent of 400 residents polled statewide between Jan. 27 and Feb. 3 who said they were "certain" or "probably" going to vote on Feb. 17 had a "favorable impression" of Bush as a person.
But 53 percent rated his job performance as only "fair" or "poor," and 54 percent said they would like to see "someone else in the White House" after the Nov. 2 election.
Among that 54 percent were 90 percent of those identifying themselves as Democrats, 52 percent of those identifying themselves as independents, and 10 percent of those identifying themselves as Republicans.
Independents and Republicans as well as Democrats will be able to vote for a Democratic candidate in Wisconsin's open primary, the first such election of the presidential year. ...
