Right now Howard Dean is a national joke....
where he goes from here is up to him. Dean's latest plan is to go on national tv with Judy, and try and show his softer side, I guess that's ok, but it seems contrived, but a lot of what this pop candidate has done has been contrived. I'm of the opinion that he should hit the late night talk shows and take advantage of the humor in the whole thing. Dean also needs to have the best debate of his life on Thursday night, he needs to show some depth on policy, a sense of humor, and do like he's done in other debates not show anger.
As for the other candidates, Kerry is the man in New Hampshire right now, his poll numbers are rising and he's in his own backyard, he's in the catbird seat, he doesn't need to attack anyone, and he just needs to stay above the fray and look electable at the debate.
Edwards needs another debate performance like the one he had at the Black/Brown debate last week in Iowa, and stick to his latest stump speech, it's working. Edwards needs to place third in New Hampshire and keep riding this wave till South Carolina.
The General's campaign is in netural right now, what does Wes do? I have no clue, attack? It didn't work for Gephardt. Pose for the cover of the leading gay magazine in the country looking like he just got a queer eye makeover? ugh, that cover up on Drudge right now looks worse then Dean yelling the other night, talk about a silly choice.
Lieberman is dead, his hope that everyone attacks everyone else isn't going to play out in New Hampshire so Holy Joe is done.
Dean isn't dead, but he needs an image fix quick or he will die a slow painful death, and you Dean fans with your silly ideas, Gore running if Dean loses? are you kidding me?
I've seen the attacks on Kerry, what has he done? He's done plenty on the enviornment, and vetrens issues, and his solid liberal voting record and his Vietnam war stories are playing well right now, yes, he ditched the medals and voiced his opposition to the war, but only after he served in it, do you want to question his choice, he served, and it's well within his rights to question a war that he has intimate knowledge of.
I'm waiting to see what Drudge digs up on Edwards in his supposed special report he's teasing about on his site, this should be good, anyone care to hazzard a guess?
I'd like to thank you all for reading my little free flowing thoughts on the current situation on the campaign trail, have a nice night.
